THE day before the wedding tends to be particularly stressful so what better way to spend the day than being pampered at Total Bliss day spa.

Not only will the bride and her entourage look fantastic, but they will feel rejuvenated too.

"The trend today is for the hen's party to be spent relaxing at a day spa the day before the wedding," said Roza Rojano, the owner and manager of Total Bliss.

The salon has four beauty rooms for total privacy and comfort, and an experienced staff of qualified hairdressers, beauty therapists and nail technicians.

Roza, who has a background as a film and TV artist, saw a gap in the market six years ago and established Total Bliss in central Wollongong.

There is a special Bliss Bridal Package for the bride that includes a luminous facial to give your skin a flawless look, a relaxing head and shoulder massage, body scrub, pedicure, manicure and even an eyebrow tidy up and top lip wax.

It certainly is total bliss for brides as it will leave them looking great for their all-important day.

For the groom there's a facial and deluxe manicure and pedicure for top-to-toe indulgence as the groom needs to look good and feel relaxed as well.

"Typically weddings are becoming smaller with the focus on the dress, hair and makeup," Roza said.

"Total Bliss offers professional wedding makeup and 'award winning' bridal hair styles.

"The trend at the moment is the casual, feminine look and many brides are also wearing flowers in their hair instead of veils."

The hairdressing team has over 30 years of combined experience, with a top 20 finish in this year's L'Oreal national competition.

Opening hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday (by appointment), Tuesday and Friday, until 9pm Wednesday and Thursday, and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Gift vouchers are available for Christmas.
